included) are actively working on that goal. However the only way most
people have of running aarch64 code right now are arm "fast models"
which despite the name are slow as heck making native compiling for
aarch64 currently impractical.
So afaict as a result of the arm64 push there is a big push on to
improve cross-compling support in debian/ubuntu.
