steev: apologies, but you're not listening - or i'm not making myself clear.

 1) dreamplugs come shipped with a 2.6.32 kernel as standard.

 2) it is not acceptable to assume that everyone can - or will -
upgrade the kernel. i managed it, but it is not reasonable to expect
that everyone wishes to risk breaking their device, especially given
that performing a "stock" upgrade by following standard instructions
found online actually cuts you off from WIFI access.

 is that any clearer?

so, thank you for saying "you should just upgrade the kernel" but it
is not as simple as that for many people.
