Re: Fwd: Bug#648325: dreamplug breakage

Adding in the accept4 syscalls isn't hard at all.  They were added in 2.6.32, they just weren't wired up until 2.6.36 (for arm) - Eudev handles a kernel that doesn't have accept4, udev claims it needs something newer than 2.6.32, if you add the accept4 wiring up, you can just edit the udev check for kver-min.  Wiring it up takes like 3 lines change in the kernel - this is what I did for the efikamx "linux-legacy" kernel - https://github.com/genesi/linux-legacy/commit/a84fac75f38de592e530a2f9f982d7aafec6c288

according to git accept4 has been added into 2.6.36 and according to the
squeeze changelog, it has been added into the 2.6.32-35 kernel.

If you're running debian kernels (the 3.2 from wheezy or any kernel
newer than 2.6.32-35 on squeeze), it should already be fine. If you're
running any other kernel, I don't see how it can be handled. At least
disabling the accept4 syscall for every kernels doesn't seem a good
idea.

off-topic (it's not related to udev): if the wifi is not working, please
check if it's working with newer kernels and if not, please report to
libertas devs so that they can try to fix it, otherwise it's never going
to be fixed.
