I tried to turn it off pressing the power button, but that had no

I put the hard disk back to the slug and booted it, but it won't boot

Can you give me any hints about how to find out what the problem is?
If your NLSU2 is a couple of years old, try a new power supply first.
If you want to test whether the hardware is ok, without the disks, then
you need firmware (such as Unslung or SlugOS) which can boot to internal
flash without needing a disk attached.
