Re: Debian-Installer beta 4 released for 9 architectures
I tried this out by myself, and wasn't successful either.
Source : D-I beta 4, .../installer-arm/current/images/riscpc/cdrom/
Kernel : 2.4.25-riscpc
Initrd : initrd.gz
Hardware: Risc PC
StrongARM-110 rev.T
128MB RAM (2 SIMM)
2MB VRAM
i-cubed Etherlan 600
I started the kernel via linloader:
linloader <kernel> initrd=<initrd.gz> root=/dev/ram
It said (after the usual stuff):
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 1:00
How are the kernel and the initrd to be used? What am I doing wrong? Does the
kernel maybe lack initrd support?
