Downloading now, I'll report findings.

And of course I doubly spoke too soon  - freshly compiled JDK mentioned
on ARMLinux list, which I've just tried.  It no longer has library
problems, but it segfaults trying to do anything other than print the
parameters - is it possible it's been compiled with 1/2 word accesses,
and it's failing because of that on my RiscPC?
