I finally found a workaround / solution for the problem:

Since lenny, it doesn't seem to be enough to turn off LDAP servercertificate validation in the apache2.conf (via "LDAPVerifyServerCertoff"), you also need to specify the following in your ldap.conf:


TLS_REQCERT never

I'm fine with that. I'll leave it to you, to consider this as a bug, orsimply close the case.
