Oh, yeah. what a fantastic argument. I don't want it, and it's slightly
broken, so let's rip it out totally rather than fix it.

No, this is stupid. You *don't* need or necessarily want an MPM to have
-common installed. (think about people wanting to build modules, and
buildds).
