After upgrading to apache 2.0.48, my apache2 was completely broken. At
first I thought it was due to mod_rewrite, because of this message:

I disabled mod_rewrite, but then got this mesage:

I disabled mod_ssl, but then got this message:

I punted and purged apache2-common and apache2-mpm-prefork (and everything
under /etc/apache2), then reinstalled, without changing a single file
from the defaults in /etc/apache2. This still didn't fix the problem.
Next, I downgraded apache2-common and apache2-mpm-prefork to 2.0.47-1,
but this didn't fix it. Finally, I downgraded libapr0 to 2.0.47-1,
which fixed everything.
2.0.48 works fine on another of my systems; the only difference I can
think of is that this system is running a stock debian kernel, while
the other one is running a 2.6 kernel built from linus' tree.
