Bug#214525: apache: Should not refer to debconf widgets in templates/other templates suggestions

Package: apache
Version: 1.3.28-1
Severity: normal

Sorry, another BR for debconf templates....may be merged with the former one
about typo.

Debconf templates should not refer no debconf widgets of a particular
debconf interface. Using "You can either say Yes" is incorrect as some
interface do not show the user with a Yes/No choice (for instance, the Gnome
interface).

The offending template should be rephrased.

Remeber that in order to activate the new configuration ${flavour} has to be
restart. You can either say Yes here or use /etc/init.d/${flavour} restart

becomes for instance

In order to activate the new configuration ${flavour} has to be
restart. This may be done here or by using /etc/init.d/${flavour} restart.

Another suggestion : the "Would you like to start xxxx at boot time?"
tempaltes could use the ${flavour} trick you used elsewhere for avoiding
useless repetition. This would save some work to translators.

Again another suggestion : the paragraph mentioning the two new files would
be reformatted for using an enumeration, which would make it easier to read.
I will anyway use an enumeration in the french version.

I suggest writing it as :

Template: apache-common/confignotes
Type: note
_Description: Handling of config files has been changed

From this release of apache, apache-ssl and apache-perl no more attempts of
fixing users configurations will be done other than for the really
essential ones that would prevent the server to run. Two new files will
 appear in /etc/apache{-ssl,-perl}:

 .
  - modules.config, that will be used by modules-config to handle
    LoadModules directives;
  - suggested_corrections that will contain information about
the differences from the users config and the standard Debian
one and how to fix them.
 .
For more information please refer to
 /usr/share/doc/apache{-ssl,-perl}/README.Debian

If you make all (or some of) these changes, could you please regenerate the
templates.pot file and send it to me so that I may work on an up-to-date
file for french translation?

many thanks in advance
