| I'd just like to add that the suggestion outlined in this bug would be an 
| exceptionally good idea - it would allow me to use debconf for the apache 
| module I package (libapache-mod-python). At the moment, it's not possible to 
| use debconf for enabling/disabling modules - instead, one has to go through 
| the apacheconfig monster.

We are considering moving the apache 1 configuration to something
similar what's in apache 2.
