Package: php4
Version: 4:4.1.2-1
Severity: normal

System is a DEC Alpha, and I can't get any URL to work with fopen(), all
attempts return the error "Invalid URL specified" no matter how simple
the URL. Examples of URL tried are "http://www.php.org/"; and
"ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/README";

This severely limits the usefulness of a number of php packages out
there that use this as a method of getting files from the web. PHP-Nuke
and Gallery for example.

Im closing these bugs since the problem has been solved since a while and
eregi() functionality is working fine. Unfortunatly we are missing the
record in which version of apache this issue was solved.

Tested using php4 4.2.3-13 and apache 1.3.27-0.1

Regards
Fabio
