(Basically, this error is dpkg level)
Sometimes it works to deinstall all concerned packages with dpkg,
and then re-install the updated versions (if they already fixed the bug).
Once I got this kind of error in the deinstall scripts, too, and i had
to use dpkg --force, which worked.
You also can dive into one of the installed packages and wipe out
the redundant path, IYKWYD (if you know what you're doing)
It's a icky situation, but you need to fix it to have dpkg proceed.
