Hello,

/etc/resolv.conf is automatically generated when I connect to internet. It contains 2 dns nameserver.

which kind of modem do you use ?

I use a pppoe modem connected via an ethernet interface.

More precisely, it's a "neuf box".
IIRC, the neuf-box is a router.
So you don't have to use pppoe.
Most od these boxes connect themselves to the provider and you have only to establish a link to it in ethernet.

Well new versions are router, mine is a bit old. I have always connected internet this way since more than a year.

By the way, I have an ip like 84.97.xxx.xxx and not a 192.168.xxx.xxx or 10.0.0.xxx.

So you can (probably) remove all the pppoe/ppp and dsl-xxx stuff
