yes it worked in a way. now i get the errors.
he kernel complains
IP-Config : No network devices available.
Looking up port of RPC 100003/2 on 192.168.0.100
portmap : RPC call returned error 101
Root-NFS: Unable to get nfsd port number from server, using default.
repeat of above error.
Root-NFS: Server returned -101 while mounting /usr/lib/fai/nfsroot
VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS trying floppy
..
i am not quite sure if the error means that the network card is not
configured or the there is a problem with nfs server itself.
the network card i have is
0000:06:07.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82541GI/PI Gigabit
Ethernet Controller (rev 05)
wondering if there are any known problems with the card
i am using e1000 driver.
