That is weired. Just try to add the gateway of the AP
in /etc/network/interfaces. This worked for me. And please check, if the
correct ethx is wlan, if you have wo network-devices. Remember: The Broadcom
card is seen as ethX not as wlanX !
If required, I could send you m /etc/network/interfaces
P.S. I suppose , you have the correct firmware installed. bcm-fwutter does
