Try a trusted filesystem instead. I stopped using reiserfs years ago
due to bugs in it. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't 64bit clean
even.
You either have a failing disk, or a buggy filesystem.
Try ext3 instead. I haven't seen it fail yet.
