save current setup doesn't save volume control settings

Hi All!

I am using etch with Gnome 2.14 and Volume Control 2.12.0 I adjust the
settings in volume control and choose log out with save current setup
option. But next time I log in the settings in volume control are
default again. Is there a way I can make volume control remember my
settings after logout? I am experiencing this behaviour for several
months now...
