Re: stupid recent problem (chroot related)

Hello,

I send a message about this at the Pkg-shadow-devel team. They told me, they've sent a patch to dchroot (#360604).

And as a workaround, you can set the SU_NO_SHELL_ARGS environment variable
before calling dchroot, or use:
        dchroot -- -c "command"
instead of:
        dchroot -- command

Regards.

i've been using skype through a chroot for months, with an icon in the desktop with the associated command:

/usr/bin/dchroot -d "/home/user/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18/skype"

but now it has stopped working:

/usr/bin/dchroot -d "/home/user/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18/skype"
(ia32) /home/user/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18/skype
/home/user/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18/skype: /home/user/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18/skype: cannot execute binary file
dchroot: Child exited non-zero.
dchroot: Operation failed.

However:

user@protatil:~/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18$ dchroot
Executing shell in 'ia32' chroot.
(ia32)user@protatil:~/downloads/skype-1.2.0.18$ ./skype
