ppp config is dialup.  pppoe config is for some dsl.  Not the same thing.
Other dsl may use dhcp or static IP just as cablemodem tends to do.

I have read somewhere that you can resize partitions from the installer
but I have never tried and I am not sure how one does it (if it can be
done).
