I use APE_3.96b8_Binary_Linux.zip but I can't remember where I got it from. 
The source (APE_3.96b8_Source.tar.bz2) provided at the same place won't 
compile, but the 32-bit binary works without chroot IIRC.
If you can't find it, I can mail you either (or both) files. Only about 
200kb each.
