consistent kernel oops

happens when i try to mount a cdrom

mount /cdrom

(see attached dmesg output)

does the same for both 2.6.12-amd64-generic and 2.6.12-amd64-k8

its something to do with ide-scsi, rmmod'ing it also gives
a kernel oops.

help! (please)
