Eclipse crashes

Hello,

I downloaded Eclipse 3.1 for my amd64 sid box, installed it.
But, eclipse crashes so often that i can't use it. I use jdk1.5.0_04
from sun, I read that there is problem with it [1]. But I would like to
know if there has been any improvement since February.
