Re: nVidia drivers

Thank you for all your comments, at last i've found the way to solve the
problem, first of all visit this page (very useful indeed):

http://desktux.xs4all.ml/tips/amd64.php

in the seciotn "nVidia driver" (of course) there is an interesting information,
follow the instructions to compile nVidia driver interface and after that
reconfigure your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to look this way (i've extracted this
from an earlier mail, thank you):

...
Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "WXGA TFT Active-matrix Widescreen"
        HorizSync 30.5-80.5
        VertRefresh 20-60
        Modeline "1280x800" 80.58 1280 1344 1480 1680 800 801 804
827
        Option "DPMS"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Default Screen"
        Device "Tarjeta de vídeo genérica"
        Monitor "WXGA TFT Active-matrix Widescreen"
        DefaultDepth 24
# SubSection "Display"
# Depth 1
# Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
# EndSubSection
# SubSection "Display"
# Depth 4
# Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
# EndSubSection
# SubSection "Display"
# Depth 8
# Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
# EndSubSection
# SubSection "Display"
# Depth 15
# Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
# EndSubSection
# SubSection "Display"
# Depth 16
# Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
# EndSubSection
        SubSection "Display"
                Depth 24
                Modes "1280x800"
        EndSubSection
EndSection

...

Now my problem is, how to configure the touchpad, but that is another story
hehe

Thanks everybody.
