libc6_2.3.2 -> experimental libc6_2.3.5?

Hi,

Problem: MySQL 4.1.12 doesn't work well[1] on pure64 with glibc 2.3.2,
which is the default version in Sarge and Sid.

Solution: Upgrade to libc6_2.3.5-1_amd64.deb (and -dev and locales)
from "experimental".[2]

New problem: sshd hung[3] last night during some heavy activity on a
machine where I had done this upgrade.

Question: re there any known gotchas with running this library? E.g.,
"oh yeah, be sure and run the ssh packages from experimental too or
you'll have problems", or "be sure to recompile threaded programs".

[1] Upstream source or binary version doesn't pass "make test", and
suffers random hangs in use.

[2] Solution courtesy the MySQL list, and this wiki:

[3] Sshing to the machine resulted in "connection refused", but after
rebooting it (from the console) there were no messages in the logfiles
indicating we'd even tried to ssh to it.

Many thanks,

--Pete
