Hello debianers, With the recent release of gcc 4.0 into a stable branch, how likely is to see the gcc-4 in the pure64 branch? I've heard from various sources that the gcc-4 branch has a better optimisation for the x86-64 platform. Is this true? If so, does it worth changing to the debian-gcc3.4 branch, which has the gcc-4 packages. Many thanks for your thoughts, -- Andrei
