debian-installer using 2.6.10

I am working on installing AMD64 Debian on a server where I need the newer megaraid drivers. These seem to be included in the newer udebs for 2.6.10 (http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/debian-pure64/pool/main/l/linux-kernel-di-amd64-2.6/), but the daily builds seem to only include scsi-extra-modules-2.6.8-10-amd64 udebs (from the initrd.list).

Also, the prebuilt images at http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/install-images/ only contain 2.6.8 (more importantly only megaraid in the scsi-extras udeb, not megaraid_mbox). Hhow often do these images get rebuilt? What would it take for an RC3 debian-installer for amd64, and how can I help?

So, I'm looking for a way to run the installer and use the scsi-extra-modules-2.6.10 udeb, and so need to be running the 2.6.10 kernel to install, or I could do 'anna-install' that package.

Any ideas, or am I just confusing myself here with all of this?

Thanks,
Joel
