I use the Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 mainboard with the 3000+ CPU. Everything
works on the mainboard. The on-board NIC works with the forcedeth
driver, and I got on-board sound working by following the advice of the
good people on this list and upgrading the kernel to 2.6.10.

I can highly recommend this mainboard.

See above - everything works on the board.
