Hmm... I'm using .2.gcc4 here. In fact, if I recall correctly .2.gcc4
was re-uploaded to the repository (I presume recompiled as well). I
think I'm using the earlier copy. Unfortunately it didn't survive a
recent apt-get clean, so I can't make it available for someone to test,
but somebody might still have a copy in his or her /var/cache/apt dir.

It could as well be a problem with dpkg's compilation, however, I'm
presumably using the same version as both of you and not seeing the
problem.

Could be, but also certain compilation options might cause GDB to not be
able to find the bottom frame. I'm sure I saw that happening to a
perfectly behaving program of mine recently.

Checking config.log out might be able to shine some light there.
