binary only nvidia module (v. 6629), gcc-3.4 under 2.6.10-rc3

This is a little off topic, but it might help other
people here. If you are running at or near 2.6.10-rc3 and you
are trying to use the binary nvidia kernel driver, you will
probably want to patch the driver's wrapper source with the
diff's at:
---
http://www.minion.de/files/1.0-6629/

or you'll have problems most likely. I was getting trace dumps
from my kernel while trying to start X and losing my console (SSH
was still possible) until I applied the patches. Now I have
accelerated, working drivers! :)

Don't know if the package maintainer for
nvidia-kernel-source collects his own local patches, but I'll
file a bug report (hell, if it hasn't already been done!) if
anyone thinks it would be worthwhile.

Sorry for the interruption. Thanks for Debian amd64 by
the way! I've been running Debian x86 for years and I just
installed amd64/sid/gcc-3.4 on my newly built, Linux only
Athlon64 3000+ and I love it!
