From rom the changelog of kernel-image-2.6.9-amd64 (2.6.9-2): - Deactivated CONFIG_BLK_DEV_UB So you have to upgrade and then it will work like usual. I did use ub* to mount a usb 2.0 disk and it did not work very reliable.
