find debian -type d | xargs rmdir -p --ignore-fail-on-non-empty
rmdir: zu wenige Argumente

What does that mean ^ ?

based on an educated guess of what it means, I think it's a problem with
rmdir saying "Too many arguments",

Indeed, this is german. But it means "Too few arguments"

Example:

me@host:~$rmdir
rmdir: zu wenige Argumente
,,rmdir --help" gibt weitere Informationen.
me@host:~$export LC_ALL=C
me@mhost:~$rmdir
rmdir: too few arguments
Try `rmdir --help' for more information.

Seems to me, the find command doesn't find any directory to delete.

Regards,
Michael
