My intention is to keep the amd64/gcc-3.4 archive on alioth up to date
until

a) the amd64 port has been officially accepted into 'sid' by Debian, and
b) Debian 'sid' has switched to gcc-3.4 (or greater) as its default
   compiler.

This way there will be an upgrade path from the amd64/gcc-3.4
archive to Debian 'sid'.

I am using the amd64/gcc-3.4 packages myself on my own servers
and workstations and I currently see no reason to change that.

The amd64/gcc-3.4 archive on alioth had a backlog this week because I
did not have sufficient net access during the last few days.
I compiled and uploaded a lot of packages today and by now the
amd64/gcc-3.4 archive is nearly up to date again.
