kernel 2.8 panic

Hi,

My Linux kernel 2.8.1 doesn't boot. The three last log lines before panic are :

pivot_root : No such file or directory 
2.8.1 /sbin/init : 426 cannot open dev/console : No such file 
kernel panic : Attempted to kill init!

I'm alone in this case ?

It's ok with my 2.6.7-6-amd64-k8.
