Re: Pre-DEBIAN 8.0 install images for ALPHA architecture (debian-ports unstable release)

Hello all

After much delay I found 3 disks to put in my DS20e and install Debian Pre-8.0
Installer runs smooth, partitioning is easy, and it also creates aboot
and boot partitions.

About partitioning, installer partman-lvm gives error when creating volume.
Creating volumes on command line works fine.
On the debug console:
partman-lvm: Error during parsing of command line.
partman-lvm: lvcreate: unrecognized option '--wipesignatures'

Another thing to note, there is no xfs support in kernel, so I had to
choose ext4 but xfs is my preferred.

Now that I have a fully working 8.0 system, I would like to help as I could.
Let me know or ask whatever could be done.

Bye
gl
