Well, I have a VX-42 (the last I think) with 233MHz CPU, and on the
motherboard the IDE pins (just behind the floppy/disk tower) is keyed
with an empty pin on the side AWAY from the floppy (toward the back of
the mobo). Also, there's a big "1" at the inside end of the pins,
toward the middle of the mobo, NOT toward the edge.

I'd be quite surprised if the different versions of the mobo did the
pins differently, but unfortunately, I don't know for sure, so YMMV...
