No, it shouldn't affect Multia.

LEGACY_START is bad for some of the newer machines, because their
consoles take up so much more space than earlier ones. Machines that
fall into this category are:

	DS15/DS25/ES45
	WILDFIRE (GS80/GS160/GS320)
	MARVEL (ES47/GS80/GS1280)

If I have a chance, I'll try it on my Multia.
