Installing kernel 2.6

Hello everybody,

I'd like to install the kernel 2.6 using the Debian 3.1 (Sarge) 
distribution.

However, I wasn't sucessfull so far to find out how I tell d-i to 
install the 2.6.8 kernel instead of the default 2.4.27 kernel.

Can perhaps someone enlight me?
