Thanks for answer Helge,
when i say it doesnt work i mean that there is no affect of my parameters. the console is still 640x480 (or 80x30). i tried following in aboot.conf:
1:1:/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.25 ro root=/dev/sda1 video=pm2fb:1024x768-16
1:1:/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.25 ro root=/dev/sda1 video=pm2fb:800x600-16
1:1:/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.25 ro root=/dev/sda1 video=pm2fb:1024x768-8
1:1:/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.25 ro root=/dev/sda1 video=pm2fb:800x600-8
and some kinds of
1:1:/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.25 ro root=/dev/sda1 vga=xxxxx
in inittab i can set the res via fbset (it works), but i wont set the res when the runlevel x is starting. i want set it at boottime to see the Tux logo in higher res.
Ralf
