I have had XFS on my alpha before.  Assuming the code hasn't changed
enough since I was doing that, I have one piece of advice I suggest you
follow.

Don't do it.

You might get it to compile, you might even get it to boot, but then
it might bork and do *evil* things to your filesystem.

I've had all 3 happen to me, or not, in various combinations.
