yeah, i was using the new one. i'm pretty sure i fried the onboard
controller.

2.4.19 and 2.4.20-rc1 (i haven't tried others). if i use open -c 3; open -c
4, (for example), vc3 is fine, and i can alt-right-arrow to it just fine.
it's strictly vc2. when i have time this weekend, i'll have to try my old
rage128 card and see if the same thing happens.
