aix7xxx and matrox fb problems on up2000
well, i got it up w/o a boot floppy (long story). unfortunetly, i suspect i
may have (in addition to the second cpu slot) partially fried the onboard
adaptec. it works, but heavy usage causes kernel panics. using my sym53c895
u2w card, everything is fine. could it be the aic7xxx driver? i've tried
2.4.19 and 2.4.20-rc1. is it reliable?
also, i have a REALLY weird fb issue. tty2 (or vc2, whatever you want to
call it) is screwed up. 1, 3, 4, etc. all work. but, when i switch to 2, my
monitor says invalid sync. this is from a fresh boot, before running x11. my
miata never did this, using this exact same card (matrox millennium II).
has anyone ever seen anything like this?
