problems booting

  After adding a second GB of RAM to a dual UP2000+, I get this
booting from SRM:
...
aboot: loading compresses boot/linux

halted CPU 0

halt code = 2
kernel stack not valid halt
PC = ffff800000007040

  And I am back at the console again! No use trying different kernel (I
tried one from 2.2r3 CD and the one on my dka0).
  Any ideas, what to do? Remove the extra memory? Please, no...
