Sounds to me like:
-SRM set to autoboot
(press Ctrl-C like a madman during booting to interrupt)

-Your console is set to serial
This may confuse your kernel into looking for serial console also
which is probably not compiled into the kernel on the jensen image ?
I am not sure what the excact command on Jensen is to change console
 to graphics.
