No, just build the next release with 2.4.0 headers. No need to make a
binNMU.

There is a kernel-source-2.4.0-test11, and Xu used that to create the
above headers package for i386 (no kernel-image packages). So no, you
don't need to create any 2.4.0 kernel images, just so long as glibc
starts supporting it on your arch.

Well I don't want you to give up your only machine for this, just noting
it would be easier for me to keep the archs in sync with glibc (and test
directly) if I had h/w to use myself :) I could probably get an m68k to
build on, but not anytime soon.
