Re: ATA DISK: invalid geometry

Hi,

Debian was installed from the CDROM and later on the 30GB ATA disk was
added to the system. Then the system was restarted and the kernel message
showed invalid geometry error. We had compiled 2.4.0 kernel that was released
recently and 2.4.0 also gave the same error message.

The distribution was downloaded as ISO image from cdimage.debian.org
and pressed on a CD. But apt sources.list was modified to update the
Packages.gz from ftp.de.debian.org which makes it easy to install and
maintain packages.

If you need further details please let me know.
