Although this didn't work for me (and it should work, got a few more things
to try yet), grab Netscape from the Compaq site at
http://www.compaq.com/partners/netscape/downloads/register_nav4_Linux-
.html. What you will find is an RPM package containing both Netscape
Communicator 4.7 and the Tru64 UNIX libraries required to run it on Alpha
Linux. You can convert it to a deb with the alien utility.
You may find some sort of DNS issue. If you make sure you have bind
running somewhere on your network, and remove all instances of yp from
/etc/svc.conf and make sure that /etc/resolv.conf looks similar to this:
search <your ip address here>
nameserver <your nameserver here>
nameserver <your other nameserver here>
