2.2.17pre6 icmp oddities

i *think* i've found a buglet... but am not sure....

my alpha is currently sitting in my bedroom floor as my ADSL router... the
external interface is a /26 netmask... 255.255.255.192... and it seems to
be spewing icmp packets to inappropriate places when i ping machines in
the "outside world"... outside meaning anything outside of the local ADSL
network. somehow, packets are getting duplicated (or something) and i'm
setting off a lot of copies of blackice (something like that, perhaps not
necessarily blackice) that are inside the /26 region with me.

any thoughts? has anyone seen this happen before??

a couple more things- when i ping the outside world, the icmp packets i
get back claim to have received a number of corrupt bytes. like this:
