kernel building

Dear all,

I'm running Debian (woody) on my LX164 alpha system.
I did the regular apt-get update; apt-get upgrade this monday and wanted
to recompile the kernel (2.2.14) source for some more modules.
a make menuconfig failes with

rm -f include/asm
( cd include ; ln -sf asm-alpha asm)
make -C scripts/lxdialog all
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernel-source-2.2.14/scripts/lxdialog'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernel-source-2.2.14/scripts/lxdialog'
/bin/sh scripts/Menuconfig arch/alpha/config.in
Using defaults found in arch/alpha/defconfig
Preparing scripts: functions, parsing..................................done.
make: *** [menuconfig] Segmentation fault

It did work last week so I'm assuming one of the upgraded packages is messing
somehting up.

Any ideas anybody?

- Thanx, Peter
