alpha boot floppies?

Hi all, I posted this earlier to the debian-boot list, but perhaps people
here can also help? Please cc replies to me <tausq@debian.org> as I am not
on this list. Thanks!

i was trying to compile boot floppies on an alpha. it looks like it's
looking for a linuxalpha_% target, where % is an alpha subarch (avanti in my
case). This target doesn't exist in the Makefile. Can someone give me some
pointers on how alpha boot floopies are compiled?
